The old, disused public steps which are now an overgrown path down to the beach offers a stunning view of Saltburn’s beach and the ocean, from behind the brightly coloured beach huts.

As you look out to the blue horizon in the distance you’ll see lines and lines of perfect waves rolling in, usually occupied by a surfer or two carving down the line.

With this painting I wanted to capture that feeling of exploring, getting away from the well trodden paths in life and seeing things from a different angle…
